ArtScreen 2022 World Premiere Screening at MCA

The World Premiere of ArtScreen 2022 will be screened at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, in celebration of International Day of People With Disability.

This exciting visual art project creates unique opportunities and aims to broaden engagement with, and appreciation of, the distinctive insights and skills of artists with disability. Featuring video artworks by artists Dani Pearce and Demon Derriere.

Front and Centre: Arts Leadership Program for Women with Disability

Applications are now open for Front and Centre, an Arts Leadership Program for women with disability.

This professional development program is for women with disability or who are d/Deaf working in the arts, creative and cultural sectors across New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. First Nations women, women from culturally linguistic backgrounds, older women and women in regional locations are encouraged to apply.

Congratulations to the five talented artists selected for our Bundanon Trust Artist Residence program taking place this November.

The Bundanon Trust Artist-in-Residence program is the largest of its kind in Australia, making it highly sought after by artists nationally. We received a very high number of competitive applications and would like to congratulate the five artists selected: Emma Price, Aaron Aryadharma Matheson, Breanna Jones, Lulu Wulf and Casey Gray.

Createability Information Session

Join Create NSW and Accessible Arts for an online information session about the exciting Createability Internship Program.

At this insightful session, you’ll learn from previous successful interns as they discuss the experience, the application process and how to put your best application forward. Speakers include David Everist from Create NSW and Createability Interns Sammy Pinto and Jeremy Lowrenčev.

This session will be followed by a Q&A where you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the internships and the application process.

Expressions of Interest Now Open

We are seeking expressions of interest for the development of a national songwriting and music industry program for songwriters with disability or who are d/Deaf.

The design process will be a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all. Being part of this process will give you industry experience and you will also be influencing the future of the music industry.

Congratulations to all of the graduating interns from our Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Internship program!

Led by Accessible Arts and Diversity Arts Australia and in partnership with a range of arts, cultural and screen organisations across NSW and the ACT, these exciting internships provided people with disability from underrepresented culturally diverse backgrounds with specialised industry training and work experience in the arts sector.

Know Your Worth: Artist Fees and Wages

This FREE online webinar is the first session of our Advance Your Career Professional Development Series for 2022.

Hear from Alise Hardy, Education Coordinator at the National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA), as she discusses the minimum standards for artist fees and wages from the NAVA Code of Practice. This will be followed by guidance on how to set up an ABN and write invoices as a professional artist.

This event will be Auslan interpreted and have live closed captioning. It is free to attend however registrations are essential.

Free Professional Development Session: Artist’s Rights 101

Join the Senior Solicitor from Arts Law Australia, Roxanne Lorenz, in a workshop exploring your rights as an artist.

Learn how to protect your work, how you can get help if you need it and what happens when you make art with other artists. This session uses practical examples, case studies from artists’ experiences and hypothetical scenarios to help artists understand copyright, intellectual property and other relevant legal issues.

Applications Open for the 2022 Bundanon Residency Program

The 2022 Accessible Arts and Bundanon Trust Artist-In-Residence Program is now open to musicians and visual artists with disability or who are d/Deaf from NSW and the ACT. The Bundanon Trust Artist-in-Residence program is the largest of its kind in Australia, making it highly sought after by artists nationally.

Up to five musicians and/or visual artists will be funded to undertake a six night residency at the renowned Bundanon Trust estate from 21 – 27 November 2022.
