Inaugural Director Appointed to lead National Arts and Disability Network Australia

An exceptional disability arts leader has been appointed to establish Arts and Disability Network Australia (ADNA) — a landmark national initiative to drive greater inclusion, representation and leadership of Deaf and disabled people in the arts across the country.

Congratulations to Sarah-Mace Dennis on this exciting appointment. An interdisciplinary creative leader with two decades of international experience in the arts, education, screen and community engagement sectors, Sarah brings a powerful combination of artistic innovation, academic insight and lived experience of disability to the role.

The Laughter Continues with ‘Are You Pulling My Leg?’ touring NSW

The hilarious and accessible comedy show is touring to more venues across NSW in August and October. Showcasing some of Australia’s funniest comedians with disability or chronic illness, this raucous accessible comedy event boasts a line-up of award-winning performers with entertaining and uncensored insights.

MC’d by the fabulous Madeleine Stewart, the changing line-up will feature comedians including Alexandra Hudson, Jamal Abdul, Loz Booth, Elliot McLaren, Tom Elphick, Imaan Hadchiti, Irene Nicola and Sam Wade.

Twelve talented interns are gearing up for exciting professional development internship roles with arts, screen and music organisations through the NSW Government’s Createability program, aimed to support the creative industries overcome the invisible barriers to employment for practitioners with disability.

2026 Accessible Arts and Bundanon Artist in Residence Program

Apply Now for our 2025 Bundanon Artist Residency Program

The 2025 Accessible Arts and Bundanon Artist-In-Residence Program is now open to visual artists, writers and musicians with disability or who are d/Deaf from NSW and the ACT.

Up to five artists will be funded to undertake a six night residency at the renowned Bundanon estate from 20 – 26 October 2025.

Successful applicants will be accommodated in accessible self-catering cabins incorporating an artist’s studio or musician’s cottage. They will also be given a bursary to cover per diems.

We’re delighted to announce the ten talented artists with disability accessing professional mentorships through our 2025 Next Level Creative Mentorship program.

Airlie, Lily Drummond, Jordyn Fulcher, Kathryn Hall, Leila Harris, Meret Hassanen, Dean Nash, Amelia Rooney, Michèle Saint-Yves and Tiffany Wong will each receive a mentorship within a leading performing arts organisation and $3000 in project funding to develop an innovative new project.

Admit All: Accessibility Standards for Live Music

Accessible Arts is excited to be working on the new initiative Admit All: Accessibility Standards for NSW Live Music Venues and Festivals.

Admit All is a tiered framework that aims to provide music venues and festivals with a step-by-step roadmap to make positive and practical changes in order to increase access and inclusion for musicians, employees and audiences.

Led by renowned access consultant and disabled musician, Morwenna Collett, this program will cover online and on-site accessibility features. Developed in consultation with people with disability or who are d/Deaf, we are also working closely with industry leaders and an experienced Steering Committee.
