Chair of Accessible Arts Announces Resignation of CEO Scott O’Hara

It is with considerable regret that I need to advise our community of stakeholders, artists, supporters and advocates, that our recently appointed CEO, Scott O’Hara, has resigned to relocate to the United Kingdom for family reasons. Scott’s last day of work at Accessible Arts will be 21 August 2018.

This is, of course, disappointing for Accessible Arts and for Scott, since he has only just settled into the role and was doing a great job. Scott had got to know some of our community, and was poised to be able to implement some of the ideas and initiatives that he has developed in a relatively short time. Those who have had dealings with Scott over the past few months will know how committed he is to Accessible Arts and our work.

We have launched a search for a new CEO and hope to be able to expedite an appointment as seamlessly as possible within two to three months. In the interim, our Operations Manager, Kay Richardson, will be Acting General Manager and oversee all aspects of the organisation in the transition period.
