Frame Shift 2026 – Tickets On Sale Now
Accessible Arts and Sydney Opera House presents a curated selection of groundbreaking films and video artworks by artists with disability or who are d/Deaf in celebration of International Day of People with Disability.
The second of this biannual short film series, Frame Shift 2026 features ten original works which explore themes of intersectional identity, creative expression and community. These thought-provoking works redefine genres and push the boundaries of experimental film techniques in creative access.
Frame Shift amplifies the collaboration of filmmakers and artists with and without disability to disrupt narrative and forge new creative futures. This unmissable screening includes three new commissioned works by Kieran Hugues Butler, Bria McCarthy and Jeremy Lowrencev.

This curated collection of video artworks showcases the creativity and artistic excellence of people with disability or who are d/Deaf through diverse works which have been directed, produced or written by disabled filmmakers.
Empowering artists with disability to tell their stories in their own way, this collection amplifies their voices and creatively. Through authentic collaboration between actors, crew, and creators with disability, this unmissable compilation collection underscores the crucial role of representation in every aspect of production.
Frame Shift celebrates intersectionality and reflects the diverse experiences within disability. Some of the works explore deeply personal perspectives and intimate experiences, while others offer levity and humour. Each work has been selected for its outstanding creativity, showcasing exceptional technical, and conceptual merit.
