The hilarious stand-up comedy show ‘Are You Pulling My Leg?’ is heading to Laycock Street Theatre on the Central Coast.
Showcasing some of Australia’s funniest comedians with disability or chronic illness, this accessible comedy event boasts a hilarious line-up headlined by Sam Kissajukian and featuring Robyn Reynolds, Jamal Abdul and Alexandra Hudson, and will be hosted by award-winning comedian Madeleine Stewart.

MC – Madeleine Stewart
Madeleine is an award-winning comedian with razor-sharp wit. She’s performed with Adam Hills, Rove McManus and Andrew Denton and is a co-writer of viral sketch ‘NDIS Fails’ with ABC’s Tonightly. Showcasing her ground-breaking exploration of disability and social norms, she’s performed at the Sydney Fringe, Sydney Comedy Festival and Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Headliner – Sam Kissajukian
Sam has been working professionally as a stand-up comedian for 10 years. He’s toured globally in the USA, UK, Europe and all around Australia. His comedy focuses around art, mental health and its ties to creativity. He recently put together a show detailing his journey into art during a 4 month manic episode resulting in a diagnosis of Bipolar. The show “300 Paintings in Lockdown” won “Best Comedy” and “Directors Choice Award” at the Sydney Fringe Festival 2022.
Alexandra Hudson
Alexandra Hudson shares entertaining little musings about her experiences as a disabled woman and her observations about the mostly foreign non-disabled world she lives in. Alexandra took out joint first place in the National Final of the Raw Comedy Competition at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, 2022 and graces stages all across Australia.
Robyn Reynolds
Robyn is a comedian and writer. Gorgeous and humble, much like yoghurt she’s a cultured delight. Handpicked for the Emerging Artist Sharehouse at Sydney Fringe Festival, her split-bill debut show, Relatable Material, was shortlisted for Best Comedy. Robyn was the Performance Maker in Residence for Comedy at the Old 505 Theatre.
Jamal Abdul
Jamal was the winner of the Stand Up and Be Counted Comedy Competition in 2017 and RAW Comedy State Finalist in 2018. He has since gone on to perform as a part of the Sydney Comedy Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival and has received great reviews.
This show is being produced by Accessible Arts in partnership with Crips and Creeps and Arts On Tour.
