Advance Your Career Workshop

Due to high demand, we will be running another online workshop with an Arts Law Solicitor to discuss your rights as an artist. Discover how to protect your work, where to get help if you need it and what happens when you make art with other artists. This session uses practical examples, case studies from artists’ experiences and hypothetical scenarios to help artists understand copyright, intellectual property and other relevant legal issues.

Creative Mentorships

Applications are now open for the 2023 Next Level Creative Mentorship Program.

This exciting initiative will provide six artists with access to a mentorship within a leading performing arts organisation and $3000 in project funding to develop an innovative new project. Writers, musicians, dancers, choreographers, actors, directors and/or producers with disability or who are d/Deaf from NSW are invited to apply.

Showcasing some of Australia’s funniest comedians with disability or chronic illness, this accessible comedy event boasts a hilarious line-up headlined by Sam Kissajukian and featuring Robyn Reynolds, Jamal Abdul and Lily Starr, and hosted by award-winning comedian Madeleine Stewart.

Access Ideas and Insights: Innovations in Creative Access

Join us for an expert panel discussion at the Art Gallery of NSW new building on Wednesday 7 December.

Hear from artists with disability or who are d/Deaf as they showcase their successes of 2022 in a conversation about innovating accessibility and embedding access for artists and audiences. This insightful panel will feature artists Sarah Houbolt, Demon Derriere and Sue Jo Wright, and will be MC’d by Eugenie Lee.

ArtScreen 2022 World Premiere Screening at MCA

The World Premiere of ArtScreen 2022 will be screened at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, in celebration of International Day of People With Disability.

This exciting visual art project creates unique opportunities and aims to broaden engagement with, and appreciation of, the distinctive insights and skills of artists with disability. Featuring video artworks by artists Dani Pearce and Demon Derriere.

Front and Centre: Arts Leadership Program for Women with Disability

Applications are now open for Front and Centre, an Arts Leadership Program for women with disability.

This professional development program is for women with disability or who are d/Deaf working in the arts, creative and cultural sectors across New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. First Nations women, women from culturally linguistic backgrounds, older women and women in regional locations are encouraged to apply.
