Comedian Line-Up
MC – Madeleine Stewart
Madeleine is an award-winning comedian with razor-sharp wit. She’s performed with Adam Hills, Rove McManus and Andrew Denton and is a co-writer of viral sketch ‘NDIS Fails’ with ABC’s Tonightly. Showcasing her ground-breaking exploration of disability and social norms, she’s performed at the Sydney Fringe, Sydney Comedy Festival and Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Headliner – Sam Kissajukian
Sam has been working professionally as a stand-up comedian for 10 years. He’s toured globally in the USA, UK, Europe and all around Australia. His comedy focuses around art, mental health and its ties to creativity. He recently put together a show detailing his journey into art during a 4 month manic episode resulting in a diagnosis of Bipolar. The show “300 Paintings in Lockdown” won “Best Comedy” and “Directors Choice Award” at the Sydney Fringe Festival 2022.
Robyn Reynolds
Robyn is a comedian and writer. Gorgeous and humble, much like yoghurt she’s a cultured delight. Handpicked for the Emerging Artist Sharehouse at Sydney Fringe Festival, her split-bill debut show, Relatable Material, was shortlisted for Best Comedy. Robyn was the Performance Maker in Residence for Comedy at the Old 505 Theatre.
Bea Barbeau-Scurla
Bea is a stand-up comedian, screenwriter and producer. She is a regular face on club line-ups all over Sydney and Melbourne and has opened for acts such as Wil Anderson and Geraldine Hickey. Her voice has been described as manic, unique and sharp. Darkly funny and disarmingly beautiful (her secret is she’s mixed race, which is very trendy now), Bea is absolutely one to watch!
Jamal Abdul
Jamal was the winner of the Stand Up and Be Counted Comedy Competition in 2017 and RAW Comedy State Finalist in 2018. He has since gone on to perform as a part of the Sydney Comedy Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival and has received great reviews.
This show is being produced by Accessible Arts in partnership with Crips and Creeps and Arts On Tour.
