Accessible Marketing Workshop
Marketing is a key part of every organisation’s operations. And with so much of our lives being online, effective digital marketing – such as websites, e-newsletters, social media and video content – has never been more important.
What’s also important is making sure digital marketing can be effectively accessed by the 1 in 5 Australians who live with disability of who are d/Deaf, a significant market segment for providers of arts, culture and events.
This updated online workshop has been developed by media accessibility trainer Bec Hogan. The workshop is designed to support the needs of marketing and communications workers in the arts, culture and events sectors. You can learn how to improve the accessibility and inclusiveness of your relevant digital marketing to reach broader audiences.
- Discover practical solutions and ‘easy wins’ for delivering accessible website content and functionality, digital newsletters, social media posts and video content
- Receive useful resources
- Learn from trainers with disability who are arts and culture experts
Learn about:
- Making the user experience more accessible for website visitors
- Accessibility features in Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
- How to include captions in videos on socials and websites
- How to include alt text and descriptions for images
- Best practice approaches to language, text and emojis
- Accessible graphic design considerations
- Disability definitions
This workshop is 90 minutes. Prior to the session, we’ll send you links to resources you can refer to before, during and after the workshop.
