Natural Women Collection – a Photo Project
Canva is putting together a photo collection called the Natural Women Collection. It will celebrate women in their natural state, whatever that may be.
The collection will be available online and will be free for people to download.
What does this collection aim to do?
Canva wants this photo collection to challenge the status quo by portraying women in a positive and empowering light and show concepts that aren’t often seen in mainstream media. The collection will focus on women who are usually excluded from the media’s representation of natural beauty. The effect will be to challenge the status quo and make people sit up and take notice.
What are some examples?
There are many possible examples: a breast cancer survivor with mastectomy scars who is shown as beautiful; a woman who is blind and who is also a visual artist; a woman with a physical disability who is participating in a physically demanding sport; a woman with hair loss due to chemotherapy who is looking comfortable and at ease.
Is there an age limit?
Women need to be 18 years and above.

Your photograph will be taken by a professional photographer.
Who will own the rights to my photo?
