Small grants available for International Day of People with a Disability Events
A month-long campaign, throughout NSW in December, called Don’t DIS My ABILITY, will mark International Day of People with a Disability, 3 December 2008. Now in its 27th year, IDPWD is designated by the United Nations to celebrate the talents, skills and abilities of people with a disability.
Accessible Arts in partnership with the Department of Ageing, Disability & Homecare are offering small grants of up to $500 to organisations and arts workers. These small grants will assist with the cost of arts events and projects that register with the Don’t DIS My ABILITY campaign. Register your event here. Applications will be assessed on need, quality and proposed sustainable outcome and close on 1 September 2008. Applications from regional NSW are encouraged to apply.
