Biography:

My work is involved in many aspects of an individuals daily routine: from personal care, domestic duties to community integration. I incorporate various mediums of art with individuals according to their individual needs, interests and frame of mind at that moment , usually including a medley of mediums such as music, paint, dance, exercise hand-clapping, pottery, water, and sculpture. I am currently working as a Life Style Assistant to 8 different young adults who are living independently in the community, with care assistance. I receive numerous referrals from organisations and parents, based on my work with creative arts processes. My administrative training includes Workplace Assessment and Training Cert IV and Human Resource Management cert IV. A recent workshop highlight was an inspirational workshop with Ross Barber, Executive director of Access Arts QLD.

Biography:
I have worked with The Sunnyfield Association in Sydney and New Lake Peer Support in Newcastle and have supported people with a wide range of disabilities. In my work with these organizations I realised there was a lack of exciting opportunities to create and learn about oneself. The emphasis is still on fitting into society and not about finding out about yourself in order to reach your full potential. I am trained in Basic Auslan and Makaton, Disability Types and Behaviour Management and I have studied Curative Education and Social Therapy.
